In most of the industries like automobile, aircraft, shipbuilding, etc., surface composites play an important role as they enhancestrength, hardness, and microstructure. Friction Stir Processing is a solid-state alteration engineering techniqueemployed for development Metal Matrix Composite surfaces. It enables surface, control microstructure,enhancement wear improvement in mechanical properties. This process was first initiated with Al-based alloys forenhancing their properties now extended to fabrication various other also such Mg, Ti, Cu, etc. Aneffort made this article review current trends future scope Al alloy using FSP including FSPstrategies applied improve characteristics, microstructure, enhancement wear.
